CELLULAR PHONES please do not use cellular phones in patient care area. The use of cellular phones in patients care and medical procedures areas can disrupt medical equipment performance. The medical staff can direct you to public telephones or areas appropriate for usage.


PATIENT PRIVACY meds care hospital is committed to protecting your medical information.

PATIENTS RIGHT patients have the right to express concerns or complaints about their care with the assurance that the quality of their care or future access to care will not be compromised. You also have the right to expect a reasonable and timely response to your concerns. We encourage you to address your concerns immediately to staff or manager of the specific department at the time of service so we can respond quickly to any concerns.


It is your right as a meds care hospital patients;

  1. To have a care that is respectful of your personal values and beliefs
  2. To be informed of your rights in an understandable manner
  3. To be informed (patient and families) about the care and services of the health care organization and how to access those services
  4. To have considerate and respectful care consistent with your personal values and beliefs and to have access to spiritual and religious support

  6. To be protected from any type of assault while the patient is in the hospital premises
  7. To receive appropriate protection if you are a vulnerable child disabled individual and elderly
  8. To have all your information kept confidential and protected from loss or misuses
  9. To have respectful and compassionate care if your condition is terminal
  10. To be informed of the health care organization’s policy on complaints, conflicts and difference of opinions about patient care and your right to participate in these processes related to concern about your treatment or care
  11. To expect staff to understand your rights
  12. To have informed consent what will happen in the course of treatment explained in an understandable information for you and your family about your illness, proposed treatment and care provided in order to make informed decisions
  13. To give general consent for treatment and have the general scope and limits of this consent explained
  14. To expect to be asked for informed consent before surgery, anesthesia, use of blood and blood product and high risk treatment and procedures, clinical research investigation and trial
  15. To be informed of any conflicts of interest involving the health organization and your care
  16. To participate (patient and family) in the care process
  17. To expect information on how you and your family will be told about medical conditions, treatment and outcomes and how to  you with participate in care decisions if desired
  18. To refuse or discontinue treatment
  19. To expect Nigeria law and culture to be followed regarding withhold, withdraw of life sustaining treatment
  20. To have any pain properly assessed and appropriately managed
  21. To be informed of treatment charges
  22. To know the names of your physicians and providers
  23. To seek a second opinion without fear o compromise to your care



  1. To provide all personal and family health information needed to provide appropriate care
  2. To participate to the best of your ability in making decisions about your medical treatment, to follow instructions and comply with the agreed upon plan of care
  3. To accept the consequences of not accepting care recommendations from the provider or not following the plan of care
  4. To ask questions to your physicians or other care provider if you desire a transfer of care to another physician, caregiver or facility
  5. To show respect and consideration of others receiving and providing care
  6. To observe facility policies (add a link)and procedures including those regarding smoking, noise, number of visitors, visiting hours and use of mobile phones
  7. Recognize and respect the right of other patients families and staff
  8. Be responsible in meeting the required fees and charges for the health care provided to you
